  • Józef Górski

Born in 1941. Glazier artist, designer of artistic and applied glass. In the years 1960-1966 he studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław, in the studio of Prof. Stanisław Dawski. After obtaining his diploma, he found employment at the "Sudety" Economic Glassworks in Szczytna Śląska, where he worked in the years 1966-1968. Then he moved to the Economic Glassworks in Tarnów, where from 1968 to 1986 he was a designer in the company's design center. In the period 1992-2001 he worked in a private glassworks "Fistek-Glass" in Tarnów. He is the author of numerous sets of utility glass. His work fits into the style of the Wrocław school of glass, but the designer's solids are more fragmented. He eagerly used the color effects of double-layer glass and antico glass. He also introduced motifs taken from folk art into utility glasses.
